Q: Do I need to own a boat to belong to
St.Joe Valley Bass Masters?
A: No, we accept boaters and non-boaters.
Q: Do I need to know how to bass fish to
join a club?
A: No, join and learn with us.
Q: Can I join the club if I do not have
bass fishing rods and lures?
A: Yes, most members will be happy to loan you what you need to have
a great
day on the water.
Q: How much does it cost to join the
club?
A: Normal yearly dues are $95.00 which covers all association dues.
The club pays all first
year association dues except FLW which will cost a new member
$35.00.
Q: How much are tournament entry fees?
A: Entry fees per tournament are $5.00 (which go into classic fund)
plus an optional $15.00 side pot.
Q: How many tournaments does the club
have a year.
A: Most years it's 7 or 8 plus the classic.
Q: How do I qualify for the classic?
A: You have to fish at least 4 regular season tournaments and
work (or have someone work for you)
at the club smoker and the
youth tournament.
Q: How many members are in the club?
A: It varies from year to year but averages 14 - 18.
Q: When/where is the monthly meeting?
A: Meeting are the first Sunday of the month (unless it's a
holiday weekend), 7:00 pm at the
Iron Workers Union Hall in South Bend, IN. You can check
our meeting dates on the club
calendar.
Q: Is there a minimum age requirement
for joining the club?
A: With parental consent you can join at age 15.
Q: Can females join the club?
A: Yes
Q: Does a co-angler (non-boater) have
expenses other than the tournament entry fee?
A: Yes, on local one day tournaments co-anglers will pay the
boater $20.00 for boat expenses. On
multi-day tournaments, travel expenses are split evenly between
boater and co-angler.
